July 23, 2010 A Moment in Time

Rooms fit for a prince and two princesses!

I have finally gotten around to taking a few pictures of the girls' room and Chubba Luv's new room. I decided to grab a paint brush and get to work on Mr. Cameron's room Wednesday evening and I am thrilled with how it is turning out. It is still a work in progress... however as sad as I was to see my lavender walls go, I am in LOVE with the color I chose, "Atmospheric Blue" by Sherwin Williams and I am now so excited to have BLUE on the walls for my little man!

Checking In

So if there is one thing I found out about having three little ones is that it has left me very little time to get on the computer and blog! :) Here I am though checking in. Things have been good over here. Hectic, but good with the one exception of a bit of a scare on Thursday. Dad had been having some serious pain in his belly, enough to cancel his business trip and get to a doctor who in return sent him to the hospital. Sure enough, Dad had appendicitis and had to be operated on immediately Thursday evening. He did great with the surgery and the doctor dubbed him as a "tough guy" since his appendix was hard as cement and had begun to fuse itself to his side. He is having a tough time with the pain meds as they are making him super nauseous and he is unable to eat. If he cant eat or drink, then they wont release him. I did get him to eat a few bites of Jello before I left last night, but I am not sure if that did anything. Fingers crossed we can get him well enough to come home today. Julie. Rob and I have all been taking shifts between the hospital and Mom and somehow keeping it all together... I think!

In the meantime, my precious Hannah Banana Meatball found time to turn SIX on Monday! SIX! Ahhhh I cant even tell you how crazy it is to know you have a 6 year old. She had a wonderful day and enjoyed her little party tremendously. She is certainly coming into her own and is like a mini teenager these days. What a big help she has been for me with the baby! She is always right there to help me or fetch me something! I just love her to pieces and cant believe my little preemie baby is now...SIX!

Furthermore she had a big day on Tuesday when ear tubes were inserted for the 3rd time. Poor thing was so scared but was so brave! I lit into the doctors and told them that she needed a sedative before she went under so she wouldnt wake up enraged. Thankfully they listened and the recovery was a WORLD better than all the previous! She did get sick on the way home, but I will take that over her beating me up any day!

Layla is doing great and just getting over a cold. She has been healthy otherwise and has been truly making us laugh lately with her personality. She is such a disciplinarian and loves to yell at us if we have done something wrong. She gets all animated with her eyes wide and her arms flailing.. it is quite hysterical. She seems so much bigger to me now. Almost as if she just grew up overnight! She is SO in love with baby Cam.. or Cameron John as she refers to him. So much so, that at times I have to ask her to give him some breathing space! LOL She is such a sweetie though and so full of love! I am so glad she is still my cuddle bug and hasnt lost interest in giving me loves!

Baby Cameron has now been dubbed, "Chubba Luv" by me. He is getting sooo big! Somehow a whole 5 weeks has flown by and he is growing by the minute! We had his appointment on Wednesday and he is doing great. He was 10lbs 8 oz and in the 60th percentile for weight. We are still in limbo about the rash on his face as to whether it is baby acne or eczema, but aside from that he is doing so well! He is such a good baby and so alert! He has already rolled over (from belly to back) and he loves to cuddle with his Mama. I think I may have gotten lucky and will possibly have two cuddle bugs!

Hoping to get some more pictures up as soon as things calm down around here! (Does that ever REALLY happen?)

Block Island 2010

When I found out that Baby Murphy was going to be arriving mid June, I made a promise to my Hannah banana. I promised her that no matter what, I would get her out to Block Island for our annual summer trip even if it were just for a few days. Somehow, by the grace of God, I kept my promise. We were able to get out on standby Tuesday afternoon after Hannah Banana's fantastic first dance recital Monday evening. Operating on little sleep, I was able to get all three kids on the boat without much ado by myself. (We are not counting that I forgot to get cash and fed my girls a ring pop for lunch.. but no one really has to know about that, do they?)

It was soo nice to be out on our favorite island even if it were for only a few days and the girls were in all their glory. We spent time on the beach and in the candy store, at the playground and at the bluffs. We visited our favorite Spring House and made an ice cream trip to Aldo's. We spent much needed time with family and friends and all in all it was a great trip. There is just no place like Block Island! 365 more days to go til we see you again!
Mr. Cameron was a bit fussy on the island but thankfully he seems to be doing much better today now that we are home. I am so thankful that the car is unpacked and the laundry is done and we are able to just relax today.. something I have done far too little of in the past 3 weeks since Cameron arrived! Tomorrow we head down the beach for the Pots & Pans Parade and we are all looking forward to that!
Here are a few pics of the past week! Enjoy & Happy 4th!
